The softness of the rose petal reminds me of a baby’s skin. As I contemplated how I would paint Michael Price’s symbol, I wanted to show the similarities between the rose petals and the small plump folds of skin that look so soft you want to touch them. I enjoyed the sweetness of the expression on his face, the innocence of the composition.  – Wayne Taylor
