The Greer children are
represented on canvas, with their individual symbols that are unique to
each child. I hope that the painting of each of these innocent little ones
holding the guitar, the basketball, the teacher’s apple, and leading the
horse brings comfort to their family. – Wayne Taylor
Kami: The ball and bat and star with the red background represent Kami’s love of softball and that she was an all-star player. The horse represents her love of horses and the ballet slippers represent her love of ballet. Although shed loved ball and horses, she was also a “little lady.”
Stephen: The apple is the symbol for Stephen because he loved apples. They were his favorite food.
Todd: The basketball is the symbol for Todd because he loved playing basketball. The blue background and the white UK letters represent his love of the University of Kentucky. The number 21 was the number on his jersey at SLMS which was retired. The Nike check is also chosen because Todd loved anything with Nike on it.
Buzzy: The guitar
is the symbol for Buzzy because of his love for music and the talent he
had in playing guitar. The background is purple because purple was his
favorite color. All the symbols are enclosed in the purple peace sign because
Buzzy liked the peace symbol and it symbolizes his love for his brothers
and sister.
