The painting for Christopher was completed near the end of the project and was one of the more interesting compositional problems I encountered.  The symbol that was chosen, a John Deere tractor, was complicated to illustrate without detracting from the image of Christopher.

I decided to work with a transparent monotone rendering of the tractor, but with enough of the famous green color to recognize that the tractor was a John Deere,  Some of the image floats back into the clouds, with the strong light from the back.  The feeling that Christopher was headed home, at sunset, after farming in Heaven was the overall effect that I was trying to achieve.  – Wayne Taylor
